Care for Your Products

All of the wood species on our site can be cared for with the same simple process - Hand wash in mild soap, dry thoroughly. Oil occasionally with pure corn oil.

 
Never soak, or put woodenware in the dishwasher.

If you are able, it is best to store cutting boards standing up. Make sure to towel dry after washing, then stand it on its side for storage.

If you'd like to deodorize your board, wash and dry it as you normally would. Then, once dry, sprinkle it with baking soda (or kosher salt). Squeeze a half of lemon on to the surface with the salt, and use the lemon to scrub the board. Let sit until dry, then scrape off and wash and dry.

 
We would suggest trying this on a small section of the underside of the board first, just so you'll know how your particular board will react to it.
 
Alternatively, you can use a 1:4 white vinegar to water solution on the board. Wash and dry after it sits for several minutes.
 
If there is a stain that has not come out with normal washing, use a baking soda and water solution to rub the stain with, wash and dry as normal.

Refunds, Returns, and Exchanges

We have a 30-day return policy.

**For the holiday season, our return policy is extended to 90-day**

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, and unused. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (all food we carry), and custom products (such as special orders and/or personalized items), gift cards, or sale items. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

In Store Purchases/Returns

If returning an eligible item(s) you purchased in store, please note, cash purchases can only receive a store credit. If returning an eligible item(s) purchased in store with a credit card, please bring your receipt and the card used for the original purchase. 

European Union 14 day cooling off period

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Yes! The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. If timing is not an issue, we will gladly go through an exchange with you once we receive and inspect the original item purchased. Customer is responsible for return shipping (if applicable).

Please include a note with your name, contact information, and order number. Food items cannot be returned/exchanged. 

Should you require a refund, please return the item as per the instructions in the returns section (please note the exceptions to this).

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days sans shipping and tax (if applicable). Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at yourpals@vermontbowl.com.

Shipping

In stock items typically ship within 3-5 business days - should your order take longer, we will contact you. Please note, an order with custom engraving may take a day or two extra.
 
Exceptions to this are during high volume times (ie: sales, holidays). While we try to get all orders out in a timely manner, please allow for some extra time.

 

Our main carrier is FedEx Ground.

 
International, Alaska, and Hawaii orders are shipped via the USPS.
